Client is a manufacturer of high volume, precision injection molded plastic products for specialized packaging applications in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and electronics. The company is a leader in its market and is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the development of new products and the improvement of legacy products.
Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer / Program Engineer will be responsible for coordinating product development of injection molded plastic products from concept to manufacturing. Duties include:
- Working directly with the customer during the product and tooling design process to ensure product manufacturability and quality for the lowest cost.
- Coordinating prototype development and testing, design modifications and materials selection.
- Work within critical project timeline and budget constraints.
- Coordinating the selection and supervision of vendors to ensure the on time production and delivery of required tools.
- Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Production Managers to schedule new product launch, set-up work cells, and ensure the on time launch of production operations.
- Managing new tool sampling process.
- Coordinates ongoing product design, cost reduction efforts, and engineering change notices.
Requirements include:

- BS Plastics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8 or more years of experience in the injection molding industry with specific experience in product and tool design, vendor supervision, and project management.
- Tool and Product Design CAD skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
