Outstanding opportunity with a global manufacturer of high volume, precision injection molded plastic components. Our client is constantly working to improve, modernize and implement lean to stay on the leading edge of technology. We seek a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in Injection Molding to lead major process improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Located in Missouri, the Manufacturing Project Engineer -Injection Molding will be responsible for the development of efficient process systems. Primary duties will include:
- Assisting and training Process Technicians and Machine Operators in the proper set-up of machines and tooling for efficient cycle times, minimum scrap, and excellent quality.
- Development and implementation of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing systems.
- Performance of technical studies utilizing Design of Experiment, Six Sigma tools, and Engineering calculations to analyze ongoing operations and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in day to day process troubleshooting, tooling validation and DOE’s, materials testing and other projects.
Requirements include:
- BS Mechanical, Plastics Engineering or Technology degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in high volume, precision injection molding.
- Specific experience in Injection Molding Process improvement and troubleshooting.
- Specific experience in the application of Lean Manufacturing techniques including 5S, TPS, Kaizen, to identify problem areas and develop solutions.
- Experience in tool validation and new product launch projects.
- CAD skills, preferably AutoCAD or ProE
