Client is a fast growing PVC compounder with sales exceeding $100 million. The company is well known for quality, innovative problem solving, and commitment to customer service. We seek a Sales Manager with experience in selling polymer compounds in the Northeastern states. Responsiblities:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding sales to current customers and growing sales through the development of new customers. The sales territory will include the Northeastern States and Eastern Canada. Duties:
- Performs market analyses and develops lists of current and prospective customers.
- Development of relationships with customer Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing decision makers.
- Supervise and coordinate with manufacturers representatives for key accounts.
- Contacts current and prospective customers to solicit and develop sales.
- Works with the customer to determine their needs and recommends materials based on the customer's requirements.
- Provides customer with information about products, prices, and credit terms.
- Estimates delivery dates and arranges delivery schedules.
- Investigates and resolves customer complaints.
- Position will require extensive travel.
Requirements include:
- 5+ years of experience of proven ability to successfully develop new clientele and grow sales in a polymer compound environment; selling custom compounds to molders and extruders.
- Market knowledge of particular interest include Building Products, Custom products, Exterior Products, Lawn and Garden, Household Goods, Consumer products.
- Polymer knowledge could include: PVC, PE, PP, Color Concentrates, and perhaps some similar products. Experience with Custom Compounding is the best.
- Highly assertive, relentless sales personality and the proven ability to proficiently analyze, prepare presentations, and close multi-million dollar growth opportunities.
- Solid understanding of compounding, molding and extrusion. Need to be able to discuss processing parameters with clients and with internal staff.
