Design Engineer-Consumer and Medical Products

Responsibilities:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for utilizing Solidworks and ProE CAD systems to design a broad range of functional, high volume, plastic products primarily for applications in consumer products.  Duties will include:

• Working closely with the customer to develop product designs based on customer requirements.
• Coordinating with Project Engineers throughout the development process-design, prototyping, testing and ultimate customer approval.
• Implement APQP process including DFMEA.
• Complete Finite Element Analyses as needed.
• Utilize Moldflow analyses as needed.

Requirements include:

• BS Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in Injection Molded Plastic Product Design Engineering.
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks and ProE)
• Experience with Ansys, MoldFlow, FEA, and DFMEA
