Sales Engineer

Client is one of the fastest growing manufacturers of multi-layer flexible packaging films for food and industrial applications in the United States. The Company is known for providing customers with state of the art packaging solutions.  The Company has grown by more than 100% in the last four years and that growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced flexible packaging Sales Professional.

Responsiblities:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting sales programs for the company’s line of flexible packaging films customized to meet the customer’s specific needs.  Duties will include:

• Working with the Customer, Engineering, and Designers to develop new product applications.
• Develops and implements strategic sales plans to align with corporate goals.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers.
• Will provide the technical link between the customer and the company to define specific product attributes to meet product packaging and related customer packaging equipment and process needs.
• Assists in the resolution of pricing and quality issues.
• Will assist Corporate Sales and Marketing Managers in forecasting sales and in the development of selling strategies, competitive analyses, and ideas for new products and applications.

Requirements include:

• Bachelors’ degree with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in the manufacture and sales of flexible packaging products including printed and/or laminated films, bags, and pouches.
• Excellent technical understanding of film extrusion, laminating, printing, graphic, materials, and converting processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate with little direct supervision. 
• A passion for selling.

Compensation
