Manufacturing Engineer - Sheet Extrusion and Lamination

Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support to high tech coating and lamination processes and supervises production, safety, quality and shipping operations. Duties include:

• Drive production line improvements such as improved line rate, reduced scrap, improved quality and other duties to minimize cost while maintaining or improving other plant objectives.
• Analyze paint line, laminating line and other plant equipment and processes and undertake projects to reduce cost, improve productivity, improve quality and safety. 
• Supervise 15 to 20 production employees in set-up and operation of plant production equipment to ensure quality and timely production while minimizing scrap and maximizing productivity. 
• Maintain and repair production equipment utilizing hourly employees or outside contractors.
• Ensure employees work safely.
• Audit and train employees as necessary in quality, safety and production.

Requirements include:

• BS Engineering or Technology (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical)
• At least 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Project Engineer in plastic sheet extrusion, lamination, and coating (paint, adhesive, etc).
• Organization, Leadership, and Communication skills.
• Experience in high performance work teams.
• Ability and Interest in advancement to higher level management within a few years.
