Maintenance Manager needed for a plastics company in Southwest Missouri.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing the day to day activities of the Maintenance Department and directing capital equipment and facilities expansion projects. Duties will include:

  • Management and scheduling of day to day maintenance activities and personnel.
  • Providing expert technical support in troubleshooting and solving complex equipment, utility systems, electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Coordination and execution of machine and production line installation projects, facility construction/expansion, and upgrades to existing equipment including automated systems.
  • Management, evaluation, discipline and training of skilled Maintenance and Machine Technicians.
  • Implementation and development of advanced Computerized Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems.
  • Development and administration of the maintenance department budget.

 

Requirements include

  • Requires BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics Engineering.
  • 8 or more years of progressive experience in Maintenance Supervision and Management specific to the plastic industry.  Preference for individuals with specific experience in large part Injection Molding or large part Blow Molding. 
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills as well as well developed organizational and leadership ability.
  • Must have experience in machine tear down and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Must have strong technical understanding of chillers, material handling, and auxiliary machines/equipment common to the plastics industry.  Experience in facility systems including HVAC, Electrical, and Structural is preferred.
  • Must have strong PLC control system troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Must have proven ability to troubleshoot and teach others to accurately identify the cause of machine malfunctions and take required repair or modification action.
  • Skills and experience with modern Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems.
