Maintenance Manager

Outstanding opportunity with a global manufacturer of components for automotive, chemical, and utility markets around the world.  With total sales in excess of $3 billion, our client has invested heavily in its United States production operations and is rapidly expanding to meet growing demand for its products. That growth has created an immediate need for a Maintenance Manager with experience in the plastics industry.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing all aspects of Electrical and Mechanical services including maintenance of Equipment, Buildings, and Grounds.  A primary focus will be to reduce costs and unscheduled downtime by upgrading of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance capabilities.  You will manage a team of experienced Maintenance Technicians including training, scheduling, evaluation, and discipline.  Other duties include:

• Supervise maintenance personnel including development of training, hiring/selection, and evaluation systems.
• Assist other Department Managers, Engineering, and Plant Manager in recommending equipment, procedures, and personnel to improve operations or reduce costs.
• Development and administration of departmental operations and capital budgets.
• Management of adequate spare parts and maintenance inventory system.
• Insure completion of necessary machine repairs, minimization of unscheduled downtime, and support of company safety and quality programs.
• Will develop and utilize modern computer driven preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Requirements include:

• We are looking for someone with specific experience working with injection molding and/or extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment to include compressed air, chilled water, robotic devices, and material handling systems. 
• BS Engineering or Technical Degree in Maintenance
• At least 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in Maintenance and a minimum of 3 years in a Maintenance Manager role.
