Production Manager-Blow Mold

The company is a large custom blow molder of plastic containers for applications in pharmaceutical, chemical and other packaging.   A recent retirement has created an immediate need for an experienced blow molding Production or Focus Factory Manager for a facility in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

The Production or Focus Factory Manager will direct the day to day activities of a modern and well equipped facility producing high quality containers.  The Production Manager will report to the Plant Manager. Duties will include:

• Supervise up to 100 Production Supervisors and Production Associates.
• Development of Associate Training, Evaluation, and Disciplinary procedures.
• Implementation of continual improvement program based on lean manufacturing principles.
• Implementation and support of cGMP and ISO 9000 Certified Quality Assurance systems.
• Supervision of day to day Injection and Extrusion blow molding operations including assisting in troubleshooting of processing or manufacturing problems.

Requirements include

• BS in Engineering or Technology
• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in Injection Blow and Extrusion Blow Molding of Plastic Containers. That experience must include at least 5 years in a Supervisory role.
• Experience with Jomar, Fisher, Bekum or similar blow molding machines.
• Proven skills in Leadership and Organization.
• Strong cGMP/ISO 9000 quality systems experience.
