General Manager

Our client is an aggressively managed rotational molder located in the Midwest.  Established in the early 1970’s, the company is a pioneer in the development of highly innovative material handling products, container, and custom products used by major automotive, food, and manufacturing firms nationwide.  Recently, the firm has expanded its manufacturing capability and plans substantial growth in 2008 and beyond.  This growth has created an exciting opportunity for a General Manager with experience  in the rotational molding industry.  

Responsibilities:

The General Manager will report to the CEO with full P&L responsibility for all Manufacturing and Product Development, Sales and Marketing, and Business Development functions. 

Requirements include:

• MBA and Bachelors Degree in Management or Engineering.
• A minimum of five years current experience in Rotational Molding.
• Demonstrated track record in strategic planning, identifying new markets and expanding customer base.
• Background managing Sales to Automotive, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and other manufacturers.
• Financial and business management skills with proven “Bottom Line Results” orientation.
• Proven experience in effective General Management of Manufacturing including Production, Finance, Design and Development, and Quality.
• Background in Lean Manufacturing Systems.
• Outstanding and proven skills in communication and team building.
