Immediate need for a Supplier Quality Engineer in Northwest Arkansas. Client is a Global Manufacturing Firm with production and assembly operations in Northwest Arkansas. With many components sourced from vendors scattered across the Midwest and South, maintaining high quality standards and cost controls are vital to the firm’s success. Responsibilities:
The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a key role in assisting vendors in the development of World Class Lean Manufacturing Systems designed to identify quality improvement needs and implement continuous improvement in quality while driving down costs. Duties will include:
- Audit assigned Suppliers/Vendors and develop suggested improvements production processes, materials, supply chain, and other areas to enhance quality.
- Perform root cause analyses to identify problems and provide potential solutions.
- Develop and implement quality programs that will result in service and total cost improvement
- Utilize other data sources to compile and track quality information
Requirements include:
- B.S. degree in Engineering discipline
- Quality Engineer Certification desired
- 3-5 years of quality experience
- Knowledge of SPC based quality systems, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of metal forming, fabrication, and plastic manufacturing processes, product engineering and procurement processes desired.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of management
