Our client is a major chemical processor and manufacturer of products for applications in plastics, foods and industry.  Expansion has created two immediate opportunities for experienced Maintenance Supervisors with experience in the Chemical Industry.  If you are a professional in Maintenance Supervision and want to work in a stable and highly rewarding environment, contact us right away.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Supervisors will manage crews of mechanics and coordinate a broad range of projects involving Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, equipment overhaul and upgrade, and day to day troubleshooting.  Duties will include:

• Supervision, training, and scheduling of Maintenance Mechanics in a Union Shop.
• Control of spare parts inventory and purchasing system.
• Assistance in development and in the administration of Area Maintenance Budget.
• Provision of Technical Support and expertise in the repair and maintenance of rotating equipment, material handling, and packaging machines including pumps, motors, conveyors, evaporators, piping, boilers, etc.

Requirements include:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Maintenance Supervision and a BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Technology. Non Degree candidates with 10 Plus years will be considered.
• Specific skills in the tear down and repair of chemical plant equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, boilers, and other mechanical and electro-mechanical machines.
• Training in Root Cause Analysis and ability to quickly and accurately diagnose and develop solutions to chemical process problems.
• Experience with modern computerized Preventive Maintenance Systems.
• Strong communications, organization, and leadership skills.
