Electrical Engineer

Our client is a multinational manufacturer of specialty chemical  products.  The company is expanding operations to meet fast growing international demand for products produced in its Iowa facility.  This extraordinary growth has created an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Process Control Engineer.

Responsibilities:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for completing projects related to the expansion of chemical processing operations.  Duties will include:

• Supervision and coordination of Electricians, Process Control Technicians and Contracted Engineering Design firms involved in the installation/upgrade of  plant electrical, instrumentation and process control systems.
• Designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting High and Medium voltage plant electrical distribution systems.
• Day to day troubleshooting of plant electronic and electrical systems problems.
• Specification and selection of Electrical Distribution Equipment.  These systems must meet demanding corporate and industry standards for performance and safety.
• Assist in the development, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC and DCS control systems throughout the facility.

Requirements include:

Apply for this position if you have the following:

• BS Electrical Engineering  OR Journeyman/Master Electrician with 5 to 10  years of experience in Industrial Electrical Systems.
• Specific background in high and medium voltage industrial electrical systems.
• Strong skills in facility electrical distribution and instrumentation systems.
• Experience working with Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC Process Control Systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA-70E safety standards.
• Must have CAD skills to work with technical designers in electrical systems layout.
• Exceptional work ethic, communication skills, and interpersonal ability
