Responsibilities:

The Product Development Engineer will play a key role in the development of cutting edge flexible packaging solutions for a broad range of food, consumer product, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.  Your knowledge of Flexible Packaging Applications, Manufacturing Processes, Quality, and ability to focus on the Customer the skills necessary for success.  Duties include:

• Working with Customers to determine new or revised packaging requirements.
• Develop new Flexible Packaging Products from concept through prototyping, testing, and scale up to commercial production.
• Recommend Materials and Package Designs.
• Support new product development trials and production launch events.
• Manage projects to ensure on time/on budget delivery.
• Provide expert technical support to all areas of Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing.

Requirements include:

• BS in Chemical or Polymer Engineering
• Minimum of 5 to 8  years of experience in the Flexible Packaging Industry.
• Specific experience with Blown Film, Laminating, Slitting, Pouch or Bag Making, and Printing processes.
• Specific experience in the development and commercialization of Flexible Packaging Solutions demonstrating innovation and creativity.
• Exceptional Customer Focus with Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
